Oppo pops out world’s thinnest smartphone

All we have is a single picture to go by, but if a picture is worth a 1000 words, the portrait above screams “I’m a skinny 6.65mm bastard of a phone!”

As for details, there are none, just a slim-ass picture of a phone which mimics the look of the mighty iPhone 4S. What we can tell is that it will be an Android device, judging by the familiar layout of buttons on the bottom of the phone. “Home”, “back” and “app switch” buttons are all front and present, as well as an NFC interface (the three silver bumps on the bottom) and a potential volume rocker/power button on the top left of the device.

It would be miles thinner than the 9.3mm iPhone 4S, or the 10.9mm Samsung Galaxy Nexus S. Which phone currently commands the title of the world’s thinnest mobile device? Huawei’s Ascend P1 S, and at 6.7mm it’s going to lose it’s command of the crown by 0.05mm. Burn.
