Codename ‘Athena’ is definitely the world’s thinnest smartphone

Want the world’s thinnest smartphone? ZTE, a China-based mobile phone manufacturer, has apparently created the skinniest smartphone like, ever.

At 6.2mm, which is practically the width of Bill Gates’ biceps, codename “Athena” is ZTE’s ultra-secret, Cortex-A15 CPU-rocking wonder phone.

There’s a fair bit of info surrounding Athena. The Cortex-A15 CPU will be multi-core (maybe, say the sources) and rock 64GB of internal memory. As for the display — it’s going to support a 720p resolution at the very least.

As for the interface, ZTE’s calling it “Miflavor UI” which is fairly ugly, but at least there’s hope that Android 4.0 will be the underlying OS. Anyway, enough words, here’s what Athena is going to probably look like.
