Samsung Olympicises Galaxy S III for select hotels

Guests of Holiday Inn London Stratford City during the Olympics will be happy to hear that Samsung has made life a little bit easier for them. Each guest will be given a Samsung Galaxy S III to use during their stay, with added benefits.

Partnering up with Fingi Inc, Samsung has developed an app that allows residents of Holiday Inn London Stratford City to use their S III as a completely interactive device for their rooms. Each guest will be provided with an S III whilst at the hotel.

Guests can use their S III as a remote control for the TV, lights, air conditioning, and other audio-visual appliances in the room.

Other services include express check in/out, laundry service, room service, and the ability to use the S III as an in-room phone extension. The coolest part? Using the phone as a key for the room. No fumbling around in pockets searching for the keycard. That is smart.

Because it’s the Olympics, Samsung has gone further and added a newsletter with the latest updates from the London 2012 Olympics. If you don’t get an S III and still have an Android device, then you can download the app to use to your heart’s whim.

    Hi Claudio,
For this project you don’t need an Android device as Fingi/IHG will be giving every guest who checks in a pre-loaded Samsung Galaxy S III. They would also have the option to download if they currently have an Android based phone.

    Thanks,
    Jahan Hakimi
    VP – Fingi Inc.
