FIFA 13 demo scores two million downloads in under a week

Well what did you expect? The latest demo from one of the world’s most popular sports franchises, FIFA 13, has been downloaded almost two-million times in the past three days. That’s  1.99 million downloads, in 73 countries for the the PC, Xbox and PS3.

Let’s not even mention the pre-orders, which hit 875 000 this past week. EA notes that this is a 29% increase in downloads over FIFA 12. FIFA 13 is scheduled for launch in South Africa come 28 September.

FIFA 13 captures the unpredictability of real-world football with breakthrough features like First Touch Control that ensure no two matches ever play the same, and new online services like EA SPORTS FootballClub Match Day that completely connect FIFA 13 to the real-world football season. In the FIFA 13 demo, real-world drama such as injuries, suspensions, team form, and media gossip surrounding Manchester City, Arsenal, Juventus, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund will play out in-game and be reflected through in-game commentary. The FIFA 13 demo is available through Origin™, Xbox LIVE® and PlayStation Network.
