Sony’s HMZ-T2 is the $849 3D visor you’ve always dreamed of

Virtual reality, a giant set of goggles no one ever needed, call it what you will. Sony’s calling it the HMZ-T2 and it’s a shiny, 3D view of the future. In Sony’s opinion at least.

Here are the details: there are two OLED panels running at a 1280×720 resolution, it’s 3D ready of course, has virtual surround sound care of the inner ear speakers and weighs roughly under a 330g. That’s not counting the 600g for the power supply unit.

Come 13 October, the HMZ-T2 hits Japan for US$849. The rest of the world will gain this nifty toy at a later date. So yah, grab it if total immersion is your bag.
