LaCie’s P’9223, A hard drive that looks better than most Macs

Okay, the headline is a little debatable, but the P’9223 from LaCie is one of the most aesthetically pleasing hard drives we’ve ever seen.

In a collaboration that began in 2003 with Porsche Design, the newly unveiled P’9223 looks the perfect tabletop companion for any one of your iDevices.

Behind the beautifully shaped lines, lies a USB 3.0-enabled mobile hard drive that delivers up to 400 MB/s transfer speeds, all made possible through a 120GB SSD. The hard drive has also been optimized to generate faster transfer speeds when hooked up to the latest Mac products as well as Apple’s latest OS, Mountain Lion.

Measuring 2.5-inches, the P’9223 is the slimmest hard drive created by LaCie, a whole 30% slimmer than its previous model, the P’9220. It’s available in 500GB and 1TB versions which will retail for US$100 and US$140 respectively. How badly do you want one?
