The latest re-invention of the Angry Birds franchise brings George Lucas’ vision and millions of fanboys’ fantasies to catapulted life.

Rovio has uploaded a teaser video ahead of Angry Birds Star Wars‘ 8 November release date showcasing Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia. The video has Skywalker putting his trusted lightsaber to use, tearing into the Darth Vader helmet-sporting bad piggies. Leia on the other hand uses her iconic twin-buns and what can only be described as a “tractor-eyebeam” to destroy the Storm Trooper pigs.

As far as we can tell, this version of Angry Birds will deal exclusively with Episode 4 (A New Hope) as Rovio will look to squeeze every last bit of the force it can. The gameplay won’t be revolutionary, but it will definitely provide a worthwhile distraction during boring conference calls.
