The £500 Oakley Airwave is every workaholic’s dream gadget. Read your emails, receive calls, check your altitude speed location and even your distance traveled all while skiing the slopes and having fun. Couple that with a cool fighter pilot display and your dream gadget is born. Oakley chief executive Colin Baden says: “Airwave represents the power and possibility of technology.”

Calls are transmitted to an earpiece connected to your iPhone, Android phone or tablet (who ski’s with a tablet?), and text messages are transmitted to the screen inside. It does not stop there, as you can play music via a wireless controller on your wrist. An Airwave app includes maps, resorts and the ability to track and find your buddies on the slopes.

“You may not be cruising at 20,000ft with rockets attached to your wings, but Airwave goggles are the first step to giving you the futuristic heads-up display enjoyed by fighter pilots.” said Patrick Mallory, of US magazine Freshness.”
