Samsung today announced the Galaxy S4 Active, a 5-inch phone with "no fear” of the outdoor elements. JK Shin, Samsung CEO says, "Samsung has taken the innovative features of the GALAXY S4 and added breakthrough protective design elements to create a device that thrives in an active environment and is built for a lifestyle of travel and exploration.” While the S4 is no slouch in the hardware department, it isn't as tough as this rugged smartphone.

During its Computex keynote speech earlier this week, chipmaker Intel whipped out a quad-core tablet which sported a look very close to Microsoft’s love it or hate it-device, the Surface. The Intel tablet runs the quad-core Bay Trail CPU, a revamp of the Atom processors that have powered most mobile devices since 2009. While Bay Trail may be for mobile, Intel says that the new chipsets offer laptop CPU-like powers, reports CNET. These tablets are proof of concept only, so ...

Cyberstalking is an invasion of privacy, a terrible outlet for some desperate individuals and above of all, a crime. Those who use the internet to track and harass others are a cowardly lot, and because of rapid advances in location-based technologies, stalking innocent users online is a scarily easy affair. The most popular apps we use such as Google, Facebook, Twitter and many more can be used by others to follow you. Apps such as the ones listed below.

There’s one event held every year that we should all be aware of, and that’s the hacker-focused Black Hat conference. This years US conference which kicks off 27 July (there are Black Hat events in Europe and the UAE as well) will expose this gem: that any iOS device can be hacked in minutes with "malicious chargers" called Mactans, which are in turn controlled by a Rasberry Pi-like computer called a BeagleBoard. But again, it’s a plug-and-hack solution for any ...
ASUS has been fairly busy at Computex 2013. It’s announced new tablets, phones and now the cream of the crop, the Zenbook Infinity is finally here. ASUS’ Zenbook range of laptops are MacBook Air-like with a distinctive style over the competition. The Infinity is one of the few touchscreen ultrabooks to make it into the consumer's hands. Not only is it a touchscreen device, but it sports a Gorilla Glass 3 lid which is used in the glass that extends ...
From ASUS comes VivoMouse, the “world’s first” combination of a touchpad and mouse. ASUS is a busy bee and has been unveiling products at a rate of knots at this weeks Computex 2013 in Taipei.
So about the world first wireless mouse, it comes with an integrated multi-touch touchpad and provides "full desktop and handheld control.” It can be used in two ways: as a default optical mouse and as a Windows 8-compatible touchpad with multi-touch capabilities. ASUS also says that ...
I was handed Sony’s Xperia Z Tablet yesterday. It’s a great-looking, 10.1-inch tablet that’s waterproof, lightening fast and pretty costly. In this hands on review, I’ll attempt to convince you that despite a very short amount of time spent with the Z Tablet, it’s most likely going to be a contender for tablet of the year. When I’m fully convinced that I’ve spent enough time with the Xperia X Tablet, I’ll post the full review.

The hilarity surrounding the Xbox One launch should not be understated. “Tv, tv, tv,” is what most of us heard during the launch of Microsoft’s latest console, and we weren’t impressed. Sony’s picked up on this and its CEO Kazuo Hirai, speaking from the AllThingsD conference in California, promotes the PS4 as a gaming machine first.
“I fundamentally believe that the initial market that we need to make sure we appeal to with any new platform… is really the gaming audience. ...
