Xbox One price dropped to R3999 until holiday season’s end

Microsoft South Africa has announced that the Xbox One will retain its Black Friday discount price until the end of the festive season.

In partnership with distributor Prima Interactive, the Xbox One 500GB will be priced at R3999. That’s R1000 off its current price. The 500GB bundle may also include either FIFA 17, Gears of War 4 or Battlefield 1 as a free bonus title.

The 1TB model will also retail for R4999, down from its standard R5799 price.

According to Colin Baumgart, Xbox consumer and devices sales director in SA, the company wants to reward consumers this holiday season.

“Xbox would like to thank our loyal customers for their continued support by giving back to them this festive season.”

“We also want to open up the Xbox experience to more gamers. Our consoles help create alternate realities for people to immerse themselves in, and we want more South Africans to be able to feel the magic of these worlds,” he adds.

A number of retailers will be supporting the move, including the likes of Incredible Connection, DionWired, BT Games and Makro.

  • Because when the holiday season ends, the Xbox One S will be out and the Xbox One prices will have to be dropped further.
