Breath of the Wild

Watch: an ingenious solution to Breath of the Wild puzzle

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been all over the internet this month, after receiving stellar reviews and selling loads of copies. It can be argued that a large reason for the positive reception is due to Nintendo nailing the various systems associated with open-world games.

It’s the systems themselves as well as how they interact with each other that can lead to interesting results. Don’t believe us? Then check out this clip, by Polygon’s Nick Robinson (spotted by Alessandro Barbosa), that highlights a workaround for a puzzle.

The solution sees gamers having to find an electric ball and position said ball on a contact, completing the circuit in the process.

However, Robinson opts for a different solution entirely, effectively daisy chaining his weapons to complete the circuit instead.

It’s not the only Breath of the Wild-related video to attract attention either. A recent clip has also compared the game’s details to Horizon: Zero Dawn. Apples and oranges or apples and apples?
