Razer Phone official: 120hz display and what else?

We saw the Razer Phone leak earlier this week, but now it’s gone official. And it seems like the leaks were true for the most part.

The phone indeed packs a 120Hz IGZO LCD screen (2560×1440), 8GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage and a 4000mAh battery (with Quick Charge 4+ indeed).

We also see confirmation of a dual-camera system for the back, in the form of a 12MP f/1.75 standard shooter and a 13MP f/2.6 telephoto snapper.

As for other specs and features? Yep, it’s indeed packing a Snapdragon 835 processor, a Game Booster tool (presumably Razer’s take on Samsung’s tool for tuning resolution and framerate), front-facing speakers and what appears to be a Sony-style power button/fingerprint scanner.

It’s also worth noting that the device lacks a headphone jack, so you’ll need to use Bluetooth or USB Type-C (or an adapter).

The Razer Phone doesn’t appear to stream PC or console games, but it is a beefy smartphone…

In the design department, you’re looking at a phone that brings to mind the Nextbit Robin. This isn’t a mistake either, as Razer acquired the fledgling manufacturer earlier this year.

Meanwhile, in the software arena, the company is opting for Android Nougat (Oreo is promised for spring 2018) but with the third-party Nova Launcher.

Razer has confirmed that they’re teaming up with several studios/games, including Arena of Valor, World of Tanks Blitz, Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition, Runescape and Tekken.

The Razer Phone is set for launch on 17 November 2017 in North America, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, France, Denmark and Sweden.
