Leak suggests Nokia 1 Plus has slightly better specs than its non-Plus brother

The Nokia 1 is set to receive a “Plus” version, according to a listing spotted by leakers TigerMobiles.

The device will run Android 9.0 Pie, more likely in its lightweight “Go” guise. This is to be expected considering the current Nokia 1 is also a Go device.

That said, the Plus moniker doesn’t afford it much healthier specs over the Nokia 1. In fact, it will still run with just 1GB of RAM mated to a slightly upgraded quad-core MediaTek MT6739.

Additionally, the phone should feature a 5.0 inch screen with a 960×480 resolution as opposed to the Nokia 1’s 4.5 inch 854×480 display.

It’s not clear when we can expect the latest Nokia entry level device to debut globally, or in fact South Africa, but HMD Global may decide to give us a more tangible glimpse at MWC 2019 in a few weeks time.
