  • Confirmed: Huawei P30 will be unveiled at a Paris launch in March

    Huawei has announced that it will officially launch its P30 smartphone at an event in Paris this March. In a tweet, the company coyly announced that "Rules were made to be rewritten," alongside the venue and date of "Paris, 26.03.2019." https://twitter.com/HuaweiMobile/status/1097684284352094208 The short video shows detailed zooming into several historical buildings, suggesting that the device's camera is going to show off some updated optical features.   • iPhones, Macbooks and more: what Apple’s set to launch this year

    Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed a host of upcoming devices that the firm may launch this year. Talking to 9to5Mac, Kuo noted that the company is set to release three new iPhones, a display monitor and an updated 16 inch Macbook Pro, just to name a few.     Epic Game's latest update for Fornite is celebrating Valentine's Day by giving players the opportunity to earn a free Season 8 Battle Pass. "Starting with the v7.40 release, complete 13 free Overtime Challenges by February 27 to receive the upcoming Season 8 Battle Pass for FREE!" the company announced on its website.   • New Fujifilm X-T30 will hit South Africa this March

    Fujifilm has launched its brand new the X-T30, reminiscent of last year's flagship X-T3. The camera has been dubbed as a ‘Little Giant' by the company, which claims the device is "small but highly capable". "The X-T30 combines a new sensor and processing engine with an Auto Mode Selector and focus point lever to help both the amateur and professional alike," said Fujifilm in a press release.   • Canon launches new mirrorless EOS RP camera system

    Canon has today launched its latest mirrorless camera, the EOS RP. They company describes the new devices as "a small, light and practical full frame mirrorless camera, for advanced amateurs." The EOS RP is the second full-frame mirrorless camera from the company, its first was released last September. In fact, the EOS RP is a more compact version of last year's EOS R.   • Fornite update introduces mobile controller support

    Fortnite now has mobile controller support, thanks to a new game update issued by Epic Games. Outlined in version 7.30's patch notes, the new feature will allow Android and iOS players to play the game using "most of Bluetooth controller adapters" on Android and MFi controllers on iOS.   • Canon mirrorless EOS RP images leaked

    Japanese website Nokishita has leaked images of Canon's upcoming EOS RP, the company's second mirrorless camera. According to the specs the website has listed, the EOS RP is even smaller and lighter than last year's EOS R. In fact, where its predecessor was about 580g, the EOS PR comes in at 485g. The camera also features a 26.1 megapixel sensor, an ISO range of up to 40 000, and can burst shooting of up to five frames per second.   • Nintendo’s ‘Dr Mario World’ is coming to smartphones in 2019

    Nintendo has announced a new action puzzle game for smartphones dubbed Dr. Mario World. In a press release published on Friday, the Japanese gaming firm noted that it will be a joint effort alongside Line, a Tokyo-based subsidiary of South Korean firm Naver.   • PlayStation Plus users are getting 90GB more cloud storage, ‘For Honor’ in Feb

    In its monthly free game announcement, PlayStation revealed that Plus members will see an increase to their cloud storage capacity from 10GB to 100GB. "With cloud storage, you can save your game progress and character profiles on one PS4 system, and then continue the game on another system later without losing progress," the company explained. The buffed storage space will be available from February for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
